A young family that crossed Mexico to reach the U.S. — and built the workshop they dreamed of from day one.
This young couple was forced to leave Ukraine because of the war. Their road to safety was hard — they crossed Mexico to reach the United States in search of peace and a new beginning.
They left behind everything: home, friends, the life they knew — but never the most important things: faith, love, and resolve. Here in America a new chapter began — two beautiful children were born, and a dream slowly took shape: to open a workshop where they could create beauty with their own hands.
Just a few days ago that dream became real. Lina and Mykhailo opened Elegant Stitch in the heart of Nicholasville — the workshop they carried in their hearts from their very first days in the U.S. Every day they give clothing a second life and put smiles on people's faces.
